People come for different reasons.

What they find is often something they weren't expecting.

Two friends smiling and embracing at a CYP DoBo evening event.

I came looking for people.

I found somewhere I genuinely belonged.

I was always very concerned and apprehensive going to Jewish events. The first CYP event I ever went to, I felt immediately accepted and all my worries about being judged were gone.

Alyssa · CYP member

A group in thoughtful discussion around a table at a CYP DoBo social-learning night, books and notes spread out in front of them.

I came with questions.

I found a place where I could actually ask them.

What does it mean to be Jewish? That was the question I didn't have the answer to until I started going here. CYP is a great community to connect to your Judaism.

I thought I was coming to an event.

I found a community that felt like home.

Having a place to embrace and celebrate our Judaism, filled with the perfect doses of love, comradery and spirituality, is everything we could ever want in the community we belong to. We are deeply grateful for CYP.

What Changes

Friday nights.

The week slows down. Something better begins.

Real friendships.

The kind that start naturally and keep showing up.

Conversations that matter.

The ones you're still thinking about on the drive home.

Somewhere that, before long, just feels like yours.

Finding your place

There's always room for one more.

You don't need to know anyone, know the blessings, or have any reason beyond wanting to be there.

Most of the people around the table were once walking in for the first time too.

Whenever you're ready, we'll save you a seat.
